Affiliate Marketing Post Panda – Proven Strategies To Kill Google Panda Update

Posted by:  /  Tags: , , , , , ,

Many people who write online content were affected by the Google Panda (Farmer) update.  People who write for content sites have seen their page views ad resulting “pay” drop.  However, those who do it for backlinks and traffic using sites like Ezinearticles, Squidoo and Hubpages have also been affected by loss of traffic, tighter restrictions and some business practice changes on all these sites.

Google is providing affiliate marketers with the most recent search results, which makes it so much more convenient to be on top of your competition.

Search results, like warm cookies right out of the oven or cool refreshing fruit on a hot summer’s day, are best when they’re fresh. Even if you don’t specify it in your search, you probably want search results that are relevant and recent.

If I search for [olympics], for example, I probably want information about next summer’s upcoming Olympics, not the 1900 Summer Olympics (the only time my favorite sport, cricket, was played). Google Search uses a freshness algorithm, designed to give you the most up-to-date results, so even when I just type [olympics] without specifying 2012, I still find what I’m looking for.

Given the incredibly fast pace at which information moves in today’s world, the most recent information can be from the last week, day or even minute, and depending on the search terms, the algorithm needs to be able to figure out if a result from a week ago about a TV show is recent, or if a result from a week ago about breaking news is too old.

We completed our Caffeine web indexing system last year, which allows us to crawl and index the web for fresh content quickly on an enormous scale. Building upon the momentum from Caffeine, today we’re making a significant improvement to our ranking algorithm that impacts roughly 35 percent of searches and better determines when to give you more up-to-date relevant results for these varying degrees of freshness.

 * Recent events or hot topics. For recent events or hot topics that begin trending on the web, you want to find the latest information immediately. Now when you search for current events like [occupy oakland protest], or for the latest news about the [nba lockout], you’ll see more high-quality pages that might only be minutes old.

  • Regularly recurring events. Some events take place on a regularly recurring basis, such as annual conferences like [ICALP] or an event like the [presidential election]. Without specifying with your keywords, it’s implied that you expect to see the most recent event, and not one from 50 years ago. There are also things that recur more frequently, so now when you’re searching for the latest [NFL scores], [dancing with the stars] results or [Exxon earnings], you’ll see the latest information.
  • Frequent updates. There are also searches for information that changes often, but isn’t really a hot topic or a recurring event. For example, if you’re researching the [best slr cameras], or you’re in the market for a new car and want [subaru impreza reviews], you probably want the most up to date information.

There are plenty of cases where results that are a few years old might still be useful for you. [fast tomato sauce recipe] certainly saved me after a call from my wife reminded me I had volunteered to make dinner! On the other hand, when I search for the [49ers score]; a result that is a week old might be too old.

Different searches have different freshness needs. This search engine algorithmic improvement is designed to better understand how to differentiate between these kinds of searches and the level of freshness you need, and make sure you get the most up to the minute answers.

To clarify, when we say this algorithm impacted 35% of searches, we mean at least one result on the page was affected, as opposed to when we've said noticeably impacted in the past, which means changes that are significant enough that an average user would notice. Using that same scale, this change noticeably impacts 6 - 10% of searches, depending on the language and domain you're searching on.

SEO Linking Strategy To Increase Website Traffic and Gaining Rank in Google!

Posted by:  /  Tags: , , , , , , , , , ,  /  Comments: 2

Today many SEO marketers believe that increasing the web page ranking in search engines like Google can attract quality web traffic and hence bring in revenues for the website. One way to increase the ranking is by increasing the amount of links on high quality websites. When users click on these links they are led to your website. There are two categories of links to post on various websites.

The first category is called one way linking. In this case you simply post a link on high quality websites such as the resource box of article directories. Clicking on the link leads to your website. The other category is known as two ways linking where your website and the other website agree to post each others links in their respective websites. Both these categories help towards two way linking.

One common mistake that majority of the people make it put the same keywords for all the links and the links just point to the home page. However the best way to build links is to put in different keywords (LSI) with about 30% of the links leading to other significant pages for your website.

The theory goes that Google begins to disregard websites that have too many similar links with the same anchor text leading to the home page of the website. The anchor text should in fact be varied and different links should point to different pages in the website.

This is the best way to increase your website popularity with link building. Google post Panda update is also an expert in detecting any type of duplicate content in different resources and if it finds your content that way then it may lead to supplemental results.

This is turn will not be able to deliver the same amount of results that the primary results can get for your website. Apart from submitting your links manually to the resource box of article directories, forums and blogs you can also take part in 3 way link exchange programs. Here you can request for exchange of links from other websites.

As mentioned before, you should play around with varying your content as well as titles, links, descriptions, keywords and anchor text. The more you rotate these aspects the more are your chances of making it on the top in search engines. You can also post to your blog several times a week as Google declares blogs its favorite destination. You can then bookmark your content on the blog for extra backlink flow.

Tools like Digi Traffic Accelerator can do the bookmark process for you automatically and it will generate about 500 incoming links in about an hour.

Today many people are also creating videos to showcase their content and then develop links. You can post your videos with descriptions to special video websites such as YouTube and other video sharing websites. You should also concentrate on video bookmarking. This will give your website more exposure on the internet and here you can also use the traffic accelerator WP plugin. Make use of extra plugins such as WP syndicator in websites such as WordPress through which you will be able to share your content. You can share your content on websites such as Hubpages and Stumble upon for greater results as well.

How To Increase Web Traffic to Your Website Through Videos and Podcasts?

Posted by:  /  Tags: , , , , , ,  /  Comments: 17

video marketingToday apart from increasing web traffic to your website through text, you can also bring in more traffic through videos. Today you can use these videos to increase your rankings in search engines as the search engine's bot will index your videos links on video sharring sites. With simple video editing software such as Cam Studio, Animoto, software's that will convert your articles content to videos or higher costs such as Camtasia you can now create complete videos in a short period of time.

The easiest step in creating videos is to first create audio and then blend it with some text and pictures. You can then read a post off and podcast your video. You can have some videos on your website as they quickly show the visitors what your company is all about. However the videos should start only when the visitors click on the link as some users might not want to watch the videos. Videos today bring credibility to the company and people keep coming back to the website because of the links your videos will get in the search engines results pages (SERP).

When more and more people click on your video link, people like to stay more on your website and this helps the search engine rankings positively. You should ideally give away your videos for free and post its links on important websites such as blogs, forums, video directories and article directories. Many people today do a podcast upload from the blog and submit the podcast to the top ranked directories such as ITune so that more traffic can be attracted to the website.

If people like your podcasts then soon you will experience thousands of podcast downloads from people all across the globe. People love the podcasts as they can be downloaded and viewed anytime and anywhere. You can even do the same things with the different pen names that you have on other sites. For SEO to work you have to include informative and SEO rich content in your audio and video. You can simply crate everything in one account and then simply repeat the process by using a spin-able content using my favorite spin software which other people are using.

It is best that you first set up a blog of your company on any of the top ranked blog creation websites. You can then upload and run the podcast or video through your blog. People can also download the podcast to their computer for later viewing. Blogs are a favorite of the search engines and hence you can concentrate your efforts of video creation on blogs. You can begin by registering on a blog and then adding content to it such as text. You can then set up a network which promotes the main website from the blog. This step will work out successfully for you.

However you should be careful when you are setting up networks on other websites in terms of over optimization. Though there are many tricks of the trade for SEO you have to be careful of what tricks you use, don’t offend the search engines otherwise your website will be blacklisted. Hence video podcast and blogging is one of the important steps for SEO

What is Web Traffic Overload?

Posted by:  /  Tags: , , ,  /  Comments: 13

Most people think that the more traffic they get on their website the better for them. Though this is good news, too much web traffic on a website at a particular period of may significantly reduce your website’s performance. Your site can become slow and this will irritate people. Hence if you are expecting a lot of traffic to your website  then you will have to ensure that such type of web traffic overload does not happen and it can easily done by notifing your web hosting to increase the bandwidth.

Web traffic overload can happen due to several reasons. It normally happens when too many people are accessing the website at the same time due to a new product launch. The other reason is too many people sending transaction requests such as placing orders or filling the form at the same time and it can cause the server to crash. There could also be a malicious internet attack by hackers who want to bring your website to a standstill. Hence it becomes apparent that you get your professional website hosted on servers that are extremely secure.

Larger organizations have their own infrastructure to host the website and secure it. They could also use multiple servers to deal with any type of unanticipated anomalies in case of large website traffic streams or significant increase in transaction volumes. The other reason is unexpected popularity rise for your website. This can happen due to several reasons such as people visiting your website by clicking on the link that you have sent as a part of a newsletter or an integrate email campaign that you have started. Or maybe your SEO work has become successful and more and more people are becoming aware of your website or due to affiliate promotions.

In some cases many website owners may have to shut down their websites till the problem is solved. This normally happens for those individuals who don’t have their own hosting servers and they have rented their bandwidth to hosting companies (i.e. shred hosting). However in some cases where the large companies who have their own servers to host the websites have also become a victim of increased web popularity or web traffic overload.

A good example of the above case is when the Vision of Britain Through Time site had advertised itself on many TV programs and it got so much positive response that the volume of visitors to the site increased so much that site had to be pulled down for some time. The site was restored when alternative arrangements for the functioning of the website were made.

Today hackers have come out with ways to increase the website overload. One of these ways is called denial of service where a website has to be shutdown because of the flood of requests on the website than it can handle. A malicious program automatically sends in requests every minute. Hence it becomes very important for website owner to take into consideration website traffic. Off course, getting as much website traffic as possible is what every website owner wishes for but his website should be able to process those requests and see to it that no malicious programs makes his website traffic overloaded.
