Good. You are still reading. You now understand the true meaning of reciprocity. The reality of this is reciprocity theory . . . when you give freely . . . one the most powerful "Laws of the Universe" gives you something back . . . However only when you do so WITHOUT any expectations.
What is Pay It Forward?
The concept of 'paying it forward', as was the concept in the film, was for a person to do something helpful/beneficial for someone else, something 'big', and then ask for them to not do something in return to them, but rather to 'pay it forward' by doing something big for another few people. The idea was to eventually positively change the world.
Pay It Forward is a survivor policy to increase the speed of revives. In a nutshell: You get a revive, you give a revive.
Pay It Forward is a concept based on the book by author Catherine Ryan Hyde and subsequent movie staring Helen Hunt, Haley Joel Osment and Kevin Spacey. It's an action plan within a work of fiction. But does it have to be fiction? I hope not… In her book, Trevor, the 12-year-old hero of Pay It Forward, thinks of quite an idea.
He describes it to his mother and teacher this way: "My dad said if you were going to work for somebody for thirty days, and you had a choice: you could take a hundred dollars a day, or you could take a dollar the first day, and then it would be doubled every day. I said I'd take a hundred dollars a day. But he said I'd lose out. So I worked it out on my calculator. A hundred dollars a day for thirty days is three thousand dollars. But if you double that dollar every day, you'd make over five hundred million on your last day. Not to mention everything between.
The boomerang effect.
When you have a ‘Get’ mentality before a ‘Give’ mentality – It's a complete recipe for disaster. Why? It's simple, What you ultimately give to other people always comes back to you like a boomerang – at lightning speed! The more you and I help other people, business owners and entrepreneurs . . . the greater yours, theirs and my life will be enhanced.
This is one of the most powerful and lesser known laws of the universe. It’s called the "Law of Reciprocation". You may have experienced this in life, Everybody did! But not everybody paid enough attention to it when it accured.
When you don’t stop to bat an eyelid about your future return on your investment . . . your payoff would be huge and automatic and your payoff will come in many shapes and forms.
Money. Recognition. Satisfaction. Fun. Self-esteem. Appreciation. Prestige. Relationships. Energy, etc. The fact you came to this page. . . proves you already have the "Law of Reciprocation" in motion in your life . . . which I respect you for.
What is the Law of Reciprocation?
The law of reciprocity can basically be summed up by stating the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. However it goes one step further then this. The law states that whatever you do will be returned back to you. In other words, if you want to create success for yourself, help someone else become successful.
