Customer Review Websites, Making Marketers Rich?

It's not a new thing that Internet marketers and Affiliate marketers create review sites to generate an income. Review sites are an alternative to the long sale letter and fancy sales pages. They offer products or services to the customer but in a less aggressive manner. Your typical review website consists of several 'reviews' written by the website owner or a ghost writer for a specific group of related products or services. After the reader becomes interested in the product based on the reviews he or she read, ideally they would click one of the links to purchase the product, get the free trial (CPA), or whichever action it is that you are looking for.


Just like all other aspect of technology, evolution takes hold, and a new style of review websites is becoming more popular in the Internet marketing playing field. With these new style review websites, the products or services are only 'described' by the marketer, not 'reviewed' by the marketer. The actual reviews come from actual customers. Plus, the marketer can add several products to the website and isn't limited to the typical 3 to 5. Take a look at this Windsor, Ontario Hotels website for an example of this new breed of review website. The example is a simple listing of different hotel options in the Windsor, Ontario area of Canada. Or a blogging review website where the readers can read about other readers actual experience from using those blogging products, All the reviews posted on the website are unique content created by the readers themselves. Of course, along with the reviews are well placed affiliate links to give the traveler easy access to the hotel booking system, or bloggers easy access to the buying page where the website owner gets a commission. 

Internet surfers are getting more savvy everyday and are not just willing to click on any link they see anymore. There are several advantages to this new breed of review website over the standard review website style. With the new customer-review style website, the website has on-going unique free content added, the content is from real customers which adds trust, and the website is search engine friendly.

 With added advantages always comes some additional work, the back end of the website is a bit more complex than the older style website and some work is required monitoring the customer entered reviews for spam, etc. But with the additional work comes additional rewards in terms of income for the website owner and added trust for the customer. 

Filtering customer comments on a blog is standard practice though. Perhaps, processing the reviews might be considered the 'hard' part'. But the 'hard' part of the work can be taken care of by this Wordpress review plugin, so truthfully, this process is as simple is putting together a regular Wordpress blog.

 An important thing to concider is that lately google showed us all that he doesn't like reviews websites with affiliate links that doesn't provide fresh and unique content and he slaped them. That's google new policy and it will continue to act by, so owners of review websites must add unique content to their websites in order them to be indexed and i'm not just reffering to PLR articles or over used readers reviews but real, new, and unique readers reviews and even videos.
