Yesterday eve i was invited to Steve Vai's master class in Tel Aviv. The minute i entered the hall i was shocked to see so many people, musicians, guitarists, guitar dreamers and music lovers. We are used to master classes of a hundred people or so but there were approx, 2000 in the hall, fabulous crowd, passionate by music, about Steve's way of playing the instrument and "seeing" music.

The vision of the full hall stunned Steve who never thought to come to Tel Aviv before, so it took a few moments to realize that he was going to talk to so many funs for three hours but soon after silencing the Gemini’s little inner voices, he got opened and started to talk about his inspirations and the way he feels music. I knew Steve is gifted by being channelled but i never saw him so open, unselfish, mastering his ego and speaking as a Yoga Guru at public.

Steve tried to explain how he feels and "see" music, and as he is passionate by, it’s quite easy for him to compose by grabbing a guitar and playing the way he does, but boy, it’s hard to do it with words especially for us musicians that always prefer to transcend our feelings through music.

He wanted to express by words the inner hidden light we all have inside, The way to recognise it and to follow it inside us before we’ll let it goes out, and he chose to do it in a very different way for musicians. He guided the audience to meditate all together by showing slowly how to move attention from one thing to the other, from one part of our physical body to the other, how to move our attention to deep places, and.. slowly you could feel 2000 people, eyes closed, meditating and understanding exactly what he wanted them to realize, to feel. He succeeded to bring everyone to the point that he wanted them to be, the point of knowing from where music is born to life as it’s already inside us.

I’m meditating for years so it isn’t new to me, but to see a Rock Star musician who can bring people to a high mediation point with words was everything i didn’t expected.

We all discovered a real soul behind this great person and name, a channelled soul who deliver the universal message of love. Thank you Steve for letting me be around.
